Tapping Social Media for B2B Marketing and Support
Presented by: Rebecca Lalez, Social Media Strategist - Rational Software, IBM
The use of social media is still relatively new in B2B marketing. However, the popularity of these tools is continuing to grow very rapidly. As a result, many companies are beginning to experiment with how they can effectively incorporate a social media strategy into their overall marketing and support plans. Since many of us are new to social media, it is often difficult to determine whether or not to include social media in with traditional marketing plans. And, if you decide to take the plunge into social media, where do you start?
To answer these questions and more, it pays to look to the B2B markets where the early adopters of social media exist – software product companies. She presented examples of her experiences, share lessons learned and discussed the challenges that you may face when venturing into the new world of social media.
